Financial Aid

hardy tower

There are several ways prospective students can receive financial assistance to attend SDSU: via grants, scholarships, fellowships, loans, federal work study, assistantships, and regular employment . This site is not intended to be a comprehensive resource for aid listings, but it does serve as a tool to point students to many other resources so that they can find the appropriate aid packages for themselves. Each student has a different scholastic, socio-economic, citizenship, and cultural background that can affect which specific eligibility s/he has for various types of aid.

Some forms of aid are automatically calculated and granted if the student is eligible upon completion of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)(external link), while other forms of aid need deliberate and separate applications on the part of the student. The student will need to be diligent in following up on individual applications that s/he is interested, making sure to pay close attention to deadlines and instructions.

For a current outline of SDSU tuition and fees, refer to the General Catalogue "Schedule of Fees" pdf.
