Art Council Art History Student Award

(Open to undergraduate and graduate Art History majors.)

The SDSU Art Council has served as the School of Art, Design and Art History's community support group since its inception in 1978. Each year the Art Council plays an active role in the School by providing scholarships for talented students in the Art program. They also provide sponsorship for an annual spring exhibition in the University Art Gallery and visiting artist lectures. The Art Council, composed of alumni and friends of the SDSU School of Art, Design and Art History holds a Mad Hatterís Ball to raise funds to support these annual programs. The Art Council strives to bring challenging and provocative contemporary art and artists to the San Diego community and to enhance the educational process for current SDSU Art students. These scholarships are just one of the ways the SDSU Art Council shows its ongoing support for the School of Art, Design and Art History.
